Hawaii News — First Of A Series Of Rallies For Equitable Funding For Charter Schools Is Wednesday

equal-funding(Media release) — The CAN (Community Action Network) parent group of HAASPCS is asking our community to send a strong message to our State legislature for equitable funding of charter schools by attending a rally and sign waving on Bayfront in Hilo, along the fence of the makai soccer fields, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 3 p.m. to  5 p.m.
The purpose is to shout out, with media coverage, for the opening of the Hawaii State Legislative Session. This event welcomes all Hawaii Public Charter Schools and school of choice advocates. There will be a prep-party to develop creative slogans & signage Jan. 14, 2 p.m. at HAAS main campus.
Now is the time to act. Our children deserve their fair share of funding for public education, for the basics that DOE students receive including SHELTER, FOOD AND TRANSPORTATION so learning can happen!
Local Rallies will also happen the week of Jan. 26 – Feb. 1 to further highlight the value of School Choice – in Pahoa, Monday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. in front of the Malama Marketplace Center.
