Politics — A Summary Of Big Island Chronicle’s State Senate Coverage

In an odd quirk of the state’s “staggered term” election system, Democrat State Sen. Russell Ruderman of District 2 is the only legislator on the Big Island who’s not up for re-election this year.  Dr. Josh Green of District 4 has no primary opposition, and faces Libertarian Michael Last in the General. That leaves only two Senatorial primaries that mean anything in this Primary Election to come.
