This meeting is part of a series of planned informational briefings and community-based public hearings by the Committee on Health related to the Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation, its Regional Boards, and their plans to streamline operations and address anticipated budget shortfalls. This hearing will begin with an informational briefing by representatives of the East Hawai‘i Regional Board. Invitees to the informational briefing portion of this hearing include:
1. Gary Yoshiyama, Regional Board Chair, HHSC East Hawai‘i Region
2. Howard Ainsley, CEO, HHSC East Hawai‘i Region
Public testimony limited to the Hawai‘i Health System Corporation, its Regional Boards, and their proposed plans will be accepted following the formal briefing.
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier’s name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee to which the comments are directed; and
· The date and time of the hearing; and
Submit testimony in ONE of the following ways:
PAPER: 2 copies (including an original) to Room 331 in the State Capitol;
E-MAIL: For testimony less than 10MB in size, e-mail testimony to firstname.lastname@example.org. Electronic testimony will be accepted until the start of the hearing.
While every effort will be made to consider all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.
Testimony submitted may be placed on the legislative webpage of the Committee on Health. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
