Puna News–Multi-Agency Assistance Center at Pahoa Community Center Thursday

From Noel Morata :

Tomorrow 8/14 Thursday and Friday at the Pahoa community center, there will be one stop shop – multi-agencies on hand at the community center in Pahoa to answer or direct you to any legal, financial aid, disaster mitigation and other assistance you may need to address. If you have questions, this is the time and place to go for answers from the county/state and Fema. An update regarding Fema, disaster assessment is currently going on in the damaged communities to find out what the monetary threshold of damages are in Puna and until this assessment is done then Fema will then come in to do their own assessments ( a long process). In any case if you have any questions or need help from the various agencies, come down to talk to the specialists that will be there to answer your questions. The following Friday and Saturday – at the Mountain View gym, there will also be the same disaster relief question and answer set up to help you with any issues/problems. – please share this update to anyone that may have some need or questions in mind regarding disaster relief.
