(Media release) — The Downtown Hilo Hot Summer Scavenger Hunt, organized by People Out Supporting
Hilo (POSH) to drum up local business and raise funds for Hawaii Island United Way (HIUW) will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009.
The public is encouraged to participate by picking up a map at one of the dozens of businesses throughout downtown Hilo, and by collecting the necessary items from at least ten locations that day. Businesses with maps will be identified by a distinct poster, which will also list all those involved in the hunt.
Each business will have a small free gift and/or valuable coupon to offer as customer appreciation. “We want to connect with our loyal customers in a fun way and let them know we value them so there will be some surprises along the way, said Janet Codispoti, of the Village Toy Shop (235 Waianuenue Ave., Suite 103). It will be a fun family day in downtown with games, contests and more.” Read the rest of this entry »
